Welcome to our little shop.

I’m Lauren Perry, the new owner and lead sewist of Cole and Dainer. My husband and I have called the Vail Valley of Colorado home for over twenty years collectively and we are currently raising our two girls down valley in Gypsum. After the previous owner announced her plans to close the C&D doors in pursuit of another life adventure, my blanket loving heart was crushed. I felt I had to jump in. I am a long time calligrapher and stationery designer in the local wedding industry, and though I didn’t know how to sew (I know, I’m insane), I knew this business needed a new owner and that I needed to see to it. I set a meeting, we discovered we had a lot in common, and she offered to teach me her craft. Fast forward through a lot of failed sewing projects, pricked fingers, and the arrival of our second baby, we are here PROUDLY making the best blankets we’ve ever found. Every single one I make, I fall in love. They are beautiful, snuggly, fun, and wonderful gifts. We are dedicated to maintaining the quality and craftsmanship you’ve come to love and expect. They feel like home.

We are extremely grateful for the loving and supportive community that surrounds this darling little sewing business. We hope you’ll follow along with us in this new chapter.
